Physiotherapy

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability.

Physiotherapists manage pain and injury through corrective exercise, manual therapy, education and advice to restore health to people of all ages. The profession promotes recovery, enabling people to stay in or return to work and helping them to remain as active as possible.

It is a science-based profession that takes a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing. Evidence based rehabilitation techniques are central to the professions core principles, which aim to enhance general lifestyle and empower people to self manage their conditions to reduce recurrences.
