EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT) or TAPPING|
What is Emotional Freedom Technique?
EFT is used in the workplace, the home, the sports arena, in one to one consultations or groups, to help people with problems and issues physical, emotional, professional and personal. It frequently shows breath taking results.
EFT was originally developed to reduce the therapy process from months/years down to minutes/hours. As emotional problems faded, both physical health and personal performance improved (often dramatically).
EFT is based on the discovery that imbalances in the body's energy system have a profound effect on one's physical and emotional well-being.
Negativity gets in the way of our otherwise joyful nature. EFT erases the negative energy, so people can experience greater feelings of self-worth, contentment and clarity.
Treatment may be once a week to begin with. A typical course of treatment is between three to six sessions
With EFT I always start with where my client is at the moment. What negative emotional and or physical barrier is getting in the way? How would they like to feel? By using EFT to knock down the barriers and finding themselves worrying less about the past and the future I often find people are able to live in the moment and focus on what they can control.
I use the following three step process to make this possible:
Step one: Identify the problem (fears, self-doubt, anxiety, muscle tension)
Step two: Clear the interference/disruption (Using EFT)
Step three: Re-frame/Re-program (using performance psychology)
Some of the conditions EFT may help with:
Performance anxiety, Fears and Phobias, Stress/anxiety, Panic attacks, Public Speaking, Exam Stress, Stage Fright, Trauma, Driving Test Anxiety, Anger management, Pain Management, Grief.
The first session lasts an hour and a half, follow up sessions are an hour.
